Routine maintinance: 97 1MZ-FE + 80k miles

My Camry has right at 80,000 miles. I have had the timing belt replaced, and I replace the air filter as needed. Obviously, I change the oil.

However, what sort of stuff should I keep an eye on? What about MAF sensor, any 'hidden' filters or valves, things like that. Should I just replace some of these wear parts now, before I have issues? I don't mind replacing stuff that might still have life left, just to get it done, and maybe bump up preformance, improve idle, etc.

Advice is appreciated!

And just to be somewhat helpful... Your driving a Camry. There isn't a whole lot you have to worry about. Water pump will go somewhere past 100,000. Mine started leaking at 177,000. Belts are good. Valve cover gaskets could be checked. Don't knpw when your head gaskets will go.

But once again, this topic has been covered many times. Do a search and you'll find all you need.

i'll post the picture after i get back from school but there is a small cloth filter near the EGR valve that should be cleaned every so offten it's for the emissions but it can turn that check light on ... it has a cap on it that can be removed take it off clean it and pop her back in ... you have to make sure that you put it back in the right way
