DIY - Gen 3/4 Camry Cabin Air Filter

1st off, I am not 100% this will work on the Gen 4, but I am pretty sure it will. Don't have one to check.

The link to the full DIY is: http://corollacarclub.proboards.com/...ay&thread=3587

I'm not posting the full DIY here as my photobucket bandwidth will own me since the pics pop up everytime someone openes the thread.

Damn, that's cool! What's the PN on that filter?

Never-mind, I thought about it. I just needed to look for the ES300 part number.

Anyway, I found 2 OEM PN's:

Standard: 7520-05206071

Activated Charcoal: 7520-05206070

I wonder which one I'll be getting?

I THINK so. The JDM 92-01 Camry, ES300, and 1st Gen Avalon all use the same fulter, so that is why I THINK the US will be the same. IF your car has the rectangle cover, it should use the same filter as I used.

This applies to ALL Gen3 Camrys or just V6 models since you said it'll work with the ES300 and Avalon as well?
Maybe I could just go look under my dashboard myself

Is that for the activated charcoal filter, or the standard one?

^ NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats for the Gen 5 Camry. 87139-33010 SUPERCEDES to 87139-YZZ03. You'll typically not find that at most Toyota dealers since it;s more expensive then the YZZ05 filter. Gen 6 Camry is YZZ08 (As is nearly all current Toyota's).

I looked it up at Rock Auto in the ES 300 section. They have both of the Denso versions.

Standard: Part # 4531004
Activated carbon: Part # 4531002

Would the cabin filter be located in the same spot on a right hand drive?

I had a look in my Gen4 on the left hand side(as pictured) today and didn't see a blank in that area. I'll have a peek on the RHS, but there definitely isn't anything on the LHS.
