96 Camry 4 cylinder won't start
Hey guys,
first post. I did do a forum search and got a couple of ideas, but thought I would post to see if I could get additional info.
Last week, when I went to start my Camry (4 cylinder - 103,000 miles) it started, but ran very rough (for about 2 secs) and died. When I went to start it again, it would crank, but would not turn over. I checked the plugs and was getting a good spark. I don't think it could be the fuel pump, because I could smell gasoline after a few cranks. The timing belt was changed at 60k. Air filter is pretty new and I could see nothing wrong in the air box. The only thing I've not yet checked is the fuel filter, which I actually think has never been replaced in this car. Any other ideas? Basically, I don't want to be "spinning my wheels," but wanted some suggestions as the most organized way to diagnose this. thanks!
