97 2.2 cough on cold start

ok im up to 138k on my camry. i noticed last winter, but didnt pay much attention.... only when its cold outside, when i start it, it coughs. i cant tell if its coughing thru the intake or what... it doesnt hesitate, just a hiccup. i will be changing my air filter this week, i know its past due... could this be causing that? or maybe a TB cleaning would take care of it? otherwise it runs like a new car.

one more thing... again when its cold, for the first maybe 5 mins of driving, especially when i back out and turn the wheel close to the stopping point, i hear slight noises. i flushed the ps system about a year ago and added a bottle of lucas....?

do both the TB cleaning (spray and brush the IAC opening) and replace the air filter. it sounds like dirty/sticky IAC valve though.

noise at steering lock are related to PS fluid having air bubbles or PS belt is loose. first try driving it slowly steering from lock to lock on some wide open parking lock and see if it helps. if not maybe the belt is just loose (or old and call for replacement).
