93 Camry Wagon Brake Light Problem

Hello All

My 93 Camry wagon had the drivers side brake light out, so my brother replaced the bulb, but still doesn't work. Went to a pick a part and bought a socket & wire part, replaced that, but now all the brake lights are out, including the middle one. The dealer wants $115 to simply diagnose the problem, so I'm asking if any one here can recommend a mechanic, preferably in the San Fernando Valley, but I'll go anywhere in Los Angeles to find someone reliable. I'm in Sherman Oaks. My local mechanic said all he knew how to do was replace the bulb but come on down anyway, so I'm looking for someone with a Toyota centric business who can do more than check the bulb.

Thanks!

Anne

Check all the fuses including the brake light fuse. The most likely cause. Also does the rear running light come on when the headlights are on? I would check the brake light switch on the brake pedal and ground.

It's a slim chance but check all the bulbs again. I had a Solara which all the bulb burn out.

Also check the wiring and the brake lamp out sensor box.
