Exclamation Multiple problems on my toyota camry V6

hello Everyone reading this post! I have few question for you people and hoping for a solution to receive.

1. does a hole in flex pipe decreases the acceleration or pickup of the car. Well my car RPM is increditbly high (sometimes it gets into 3). I know its harmful for engine but I am thinking of changning the flex pipe and wondering of the following site to get it (link from ebay)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-3X...ht_4135wt_1185

2. My previous owner of the car had kept p195 65r15 in the front but at the back of the car the tire is 205 65 r15. I am from minnesota so, is the low diameter of the tire affects the car from skidding or such stuff or is it fine if I change the front tire into 205 65r15?

These are my questions, thanks for helping me out everyone!

Iif you have a hole in the pipe, that means there is an exhaust leak, which would give you less horsepower and less fuel economy. You should definitley get that fixed ASAP.

Also, theres probably alot more carbon monoxide, so careful there.

As for the tires, the rear tires are just a little wider. do you have different wheels on the back then the front?

Edit: Also, double check the exhaust piping size before you buy online. If you get this done in a shop, the less work they have to do, the less you have to pay.

The factory tires for a V6 should be 205/65/15. They are a little taller and a little wider than the 195/65/15 and are rated to carry the weight of the heavier Camry. I would def change the front tires. As far as poor acceleration it is hard to say if that is the problem. Have you done a tune-up on the car to make sure everything else is up to par?

The one I am trying to buy on ebay is of the same size as my car's. Ya definitely I am gonna fix that soon cause the RPM of my car sometimes goes into 2.5 to 3 which has given more friction to the car and would hamper the engine as well.

Thanks! I would change the front tire into 205 as well also when I went to a shop they told me that ABS light is on due to incorrect tire size on the front.

A leaky flex pipe will not cause an increase in idle RPMs to 2 or 3k. If you buy the flex pipe, you then have to find someone to weld it for you. I would rather find a trustworthy mechanic who can do the job start to finish.

The diff between 205/65/15 and 195/65/15 will certainly not cause the ABS light.

The pick up of my car has gone considerably down! I know when I fixed my car with the mechanic, he kept a glue and tape on my flex pipe. At that time the pick up was high and the sound from the car was minimal but as time passed I think that idea didnt work. As a result it was same loud sound and low pickup and high RPM on the meter because of leak. Might be tune up is a factor too but in this case I predict its due to flex pipe

I've had that same problem with the flex pipe. If it feels like it lags and takes longer to accelerate then most likely you are going through what I did. Fix it sooner the better because you'll lose a lot of gas mileage.
