97 Camry - Interior Door handles

I have a 97 Camry, and I have the infamous problem with the interior door handles and bezels breaking.

I was curious if anyone has seen an aftermarket door handle and bezel, possibly made of metal, or anything a little more durable.

Otherwise, what do you suggest? Checking Ebay? A salvage lot?

Thanks for your time.

They lasted 14 years! No reason another won't do the same. Ebay has a number of sellers selling replacements.

...yeah...

Thanks for bringing reasonable math into this and putting things into perspective. That is a very good point.

eBay sells some chrome trim handles but don't know if they're metal or not.

This website sells parts pretty cheap and same OEM quality. I always buy my replacement parts from them and never had an issue.

I never had any problems with them breaking on me. Maybe you're pulling them too hard? It happens.

I just bought a pair from them. Haven't installed 'em yet, but they look pretty nice. Got the bezels too. Decent color match to my Cam's gray.

I bought black ones, just in case i get the car painted black from the oyster grey it's now. But i may just have the bottom of the car painted black with the OG color on top. I like how the some of the Camry's have a two-toned color to it...

I had that happen to my 95 camry. Both inside handles and the outside door handle on driver's side (of course). Not all at once, but after the car was 10 years old it started slowly one by one. I got mine from a salvage yard and put them on myself.

I didn't mind the $11 to buy newer ones, and it was soooo easy to put them on...
