4th Generation Short ram air intakes??

Hey guys!
I have a 4th gen 2.2l LE. I have slowly been fixing the appearance and am now going to start with performance mods. I wanna start out simple and figured an air intake is the best way to go. I do have a question though. I have seen the injen and weapon-r intakes that are $150+ and then I have seen no name intakes for less than $50. I was just wondering if theres really a difference in the performance. Looking at em they all seem the same, just a pipe and a cone filter. Is it really worth spending the extra $100+ on an injen? Thanks!

SRI is pretty much for sounds only, no gains whatsoever
CAI could give you some gains (and deeper sounds), but it's usually too much hassle to get it done right.
stock intake is not bad, why change it?

I'd rather spend some money on aggressive maintenance items (minor or major tune up) than toys like metal intake for looks and sounds
