4th Generation 97 S/C Camry problems

Ugh! I've been trying to diagnose this for months. Ever since I installed my supercharger I've had problems. First after the install my idle was low and a little rough but it was drivable. Looked in my maintenance records and and found I my spark plugs and fuel filter hadn't been changed in a while. Installed NGK wires and platinum plugs. At that time my car had been sitting for a months. Next was fuel filter. Discovered a rounded bolt on the filter so I cut the line and installed a new line with filter. Drained the old gas and put in new gas today and it did run better but it dies after a few seconds. I'm out of ideas and I need helpful suggestions. I've been driving my SC while my camry is down and I'm ready to switch back!

Sounds like there is a big vacuum leak. Maybe some animals chewed up some hoses while it was sitting. Crank Position Sensor?

Any CEL codes?

I'll have to check the hoses tomorrow. My intake makes that loud suction noise if that's what you were talking about. No CEL for the little time that the car stays on.

Found a loose hose. Reconnected it back to the TB. It must have come loose when I changed the spark plugs. I'll start it up tomorrow and hopefully it will be back to normal.

Thumbs down

No luck. It did run better with the hose reattached but still shuts off 10-20 seconds after starting. Tried to driving and it's un-drivable in second gear.

Sounds like its not getting enough fuel/ too much air.

The video does make it sound liek you have a massive vacuum leak, try to run it with carb cleaner to too if its fuel.

Could also be chewed through plug wires in the back.

what the hell is that low growling sound? i've never herd that on a supercharged camry before? Sounds like an exhaust leak. Do you have a code reader? even if there is no code yet when the engine detects a problem it throws a code as pending but it wont show on the dash.

Personally It sounds like a sensor problem or vaccum leak.
