First tranny I put I got it from junkyard...what a gamble it didnt work....second I got it from craigslist same it works for a moment then when it warms up it wont move anymore. Third I bought it from dismantler same thing when it warms up it wouldn't move bu reverse is fine. Any suggestion....am thinking selonoid...

I think all the transmission you got had all worn clutch packs. Automatics works with fluid pressure to "engage" the gear. It seem in your case, when the ATF is cold, it's acting in place of the clutch materials to apply pressure to the gears. But when the fluid warm up and thins out, all forward gears are slipping. One reason why I stay away from used transmission.

You can try to pour in a few bottle of Lucas to thicken the ATF but that's just a band-aid.

Usually when ever you purchase used(non rebuild) trans that has been sit a while, valves body need to be rebuild. That's because piston rods tend to stick to the chambers if not being use regularly and worst the lubricating fluid got drained out. This same true if you've vehicle that has been sit for very long time. You could try to remove the pan and mess around with each piston rod with finger or tool. It has about 10 or so rods. You can remove the valve body and have trans shop rebuild. If you DIY, you'll need factory manual.
