USA 2001 Camry Fuel Filter

I want to change the fuel filter in my 2001 Camry 4 cyl. Can you tell me where it's located? I've gotten different information on the internet. One place said it was under the back seat in the fuel pump assembly. Another place said it was below the brake cylinder on the drivers side at the bottom of the firewall. Yet another place said it was near the rear left wheel. Also, is there anything I need to be aware of when changing it or is it a pretty simple job.
Thanks.

There is one in the engine bay. The main problem is the seized lower flare nut that can cause a twisted fuel pipe.

As far as the one by the fuel pump maybe that's a coarse filter. Probably not to worry until the pump needs work.

As said, it's in the engine bay on the right hand side, (standing in front of the car looking into the 'bay). Look behind the air filter, should be tucked around there somewhere.

I found the fuel filter. It's located just below and to the left of the air filter. The top bolt looks like it's easy enough to do, it's the flare nut on the bottom I'm concerned with. Can't see it, gotta do it by feel and It feels rusty. Any advice you can give for loosening it beside hitting it with some rust loosening spray? Don't want to twist the fuel line trying to undo it.
Also, any recommendations on what brand of filter to replace it with? Went to Toyota and their price was $35. Would a good aftermarket filter do or would you recommend staying with Toyota?

Remove the filter box and you will have much more room to work. Use flare nut wrenches if you have them.

As said, use a flare nut spanner and remember to back it up with another spanner. I think it's a 17mm.

I've had two attempts at mine, both above and below, and no luck. I think i might have to remove my charcoal canister to get more room (as well as the air box).
