long terminal spark plug?

I got a secondhand 92 Camay. I want to change the spark plug and wires. When I try to remove the old spark plug, I found the socket couldn't reach to the bottom to unscrew it. So I took a look at into the hole. I saw the terminal seems longer than the normal ones. Has anyone seen this kind of spark plug and know how to remove it? Thanks.

PS: Tried the longest socket in canadiantire. It's about 13cm long.

The spark plugs are normal length. Sounds to me like you've got a plug wire that broke off, and is still stuck on the end of the plug. I had that happen once.
One of these extra deep sockets One of these extra deep sockets
would do the trick.

Thanks BMR. You mean that plug is broken? I remember I did run a test that unplug each plug to test if they work. They all work.

For replacing the plug this time, I only unpluged this one. I'll take a look at others to see if they are all the same tonight. If it's really the case you described, can I use a piler to pull the broken tip off, then use the normal socket to remote the spark plug? Thanks.

Sounds like a broken wire. Happened to me too. I couldn't get pliers down in there so it took a bit of searching around using coat hangar wire to hook the broken plug wire and pull it out. Once that's out just remove the plug as you normally would

No, I think the plug is intact. I think a bit of the plug wire broke off and is stuck on the top of the spark plug.

If you've got a pliers long enough, yeah. But you'd need a pliers that's 4 to 5 inches long from the pivot to the tip. Lacking that, Aetebet's idea might work. Try that first.

What I did was intentionally break off the ceramic top of the spark plug by jamming a big screwdriver down there. Then I used one of those parts-grabber things to fish it out. Then used a normal spark plug socket to remove what's left. Ya gotta be careful not to leave any ceramic chunks down there that can drop into the cylinder, tho.

Thanks guys. It turned out it is the situation that you guys described. The wire in spark plug wire was broken and the terminal inside got stuck on the spark plug terminal. Lucky for me it was long enough so that I used a piler to pull it out directly. After that, I used a normal 5/8 socket to unscrew the plug.

Thanks you guys for the help.
