98 camry, feel vibration or pulsation when hit the brake pedal

Hi guys,

Need some help on this issue.

When i hit the brake pedal, i can feel vibration or pulsation from the back side of the car.

The front pad and rotor were changed 4 months ago. And checked the rear drum, the surface seems smooth.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Thank you.

I just paid the dealer $540 to have something like that fix. As it turned out to be wheel cylinder partially frozen. I'm still pissed because I could've done it myself. Mine was pulsated to the brake peddle as well.

Is it essential to replace that wheel cylinder ASAP?

It could lock in extended position and cause over heat. You could lost brake pressure from heated fluid. Assuming you've that problem. Another problem is damage rear wheel bearing. Quick way to tell the bearing is the weird grinding noise.

My car's pulsation happened only when the speed goes above 40 mph. Is this the same as your car?

Thanks. Need to confirm the problem. Since last time, i checked the drum brake, didn't see any leak from the wheel cylinder.

I am not sure whether the back tires are balanced or not. Since I can only feel the pulsation when I hit the brake.

For your car, no matter what speed your car is, you can feel the pulsation when you hit the brake?

Thanks.
