Very Interesting! Differences between US and Canadian cars pop up in the oddest places. I would have never guessed that Toyota made an XLE with rear drum breaks, and much less even a 4cyl !!?? When you bought an XLE here, it had top of the line everything, I think the only option delete available was the leather interior. (rare)

funny for you to mention that. i just obtained an xle v6, that is as base as an xle can get, no alloys, no sun/moon roof, power cloth seats (but with leather steering wheel, odd enough), no trac, no keyless entry, no heated seats (probably cause its not leather). its a Jvin, canadian market. i was alittle surprised when i got it.

One of the specific options of an XLE is alloy wheels. I think someone switched them out in its life. An XLE should also get climate control vs. regular a/c controls and some other options.
Though personally I saw an XLE 4 cylinder with rear disc brakes but it has abs. Maybe that is the key.
