Power Door Lock Only Locks

The power door lock switch on our 97 Camry will only the lock the doors. It will not unlock them.
Locking and locking the doors with the key in the driver's door operates all door locks fine;they both lock and unlock.
Can I conclude the problem is with the door lock switch itself? Anyway to test it?

Thanks

If the passenger side works, replace the driver side switch.

checking continuity

Turns out a connection must have been loose as I removed the assembly and put it back in place. Now it works. But I'm still curious in case there is a future problem;is there a way to check continuity on the contacts? I have no idea as to where one would place the leads.
thanks
