Exclamation Stuck spark plug help!

Car info:
2001 Camry LE 4 cylinder 218k

I was changing my spark plugs and wires after doing my air fuel sensor and everything went well until i got to the 4th cylinder. I pulled the boot off of the top of the plug and it didnt give ANY trouble like the first 3 did so i thought, awesome this will be easier. I put the socket in there and it seemed like it was loose already so i went to pull out the socket/extension and the socket dropped in there. grabbed the magnet to pull it out and its not moving, seems as if the rubber that holds the plug when you're putting it in the motor is gripping REALLY well (i did put vaseline on after each plug). I can't get the extension back on the socket because the top part of the plug somehow went through the rubber piece thats supposed to stop it and out the other side.

I noticed on the top, it has a 6 sided "nut" i guess but I don't know what thats for, its big, bigger than my 27mm socket i have which is the biggest i own.

any ideas? This is my DD

FWIW, heres a pic

never mind, i found the problem. the inside of the wire snapped and was still stuck on the plug. had to use a screwdriver and then a clothes hanger to pry it open to let go of the plug itself. glad i went with denso for everything, not whatever was on there.

Good Save!

Stuff like this always requires coat hangers, duct tape, a special tool, or creative thinking.

Now just try to imagine that crap happening on the back bank of your 3VZ, or 1MZ, frigging V-6! Yet, it still can be done.

Yup. I had this happen on the rear bank's middle cylinder on my Camry the first time I changed the plugs. That was a lotta fun. [/SARCASM]

haha i don't even want to think about it on a v6. i was kneeling inside the bay of my car to get a better view/angle on the damn thing. I used a coat hanger and a screw driver to open that little clip apart a little to finally have it let go of the plug.
