What Happened to the fifth ignition wire!?

Hi. I have a 94' Camry 2.2L. It has distrubtor set up for ignition. I wanted to change the wires on a recent tune up and the Auto Zone gave me replacement wires, but only 4 come in the pack. Why! Do I have to go to the dealer to get ignition wires for all 4 cylinders +1 for that will connect form the center lead on the cap to the coil? I don't get why the set doesn't come with the coil wire. Can someone tell me how to get a whole set?

That's easy, take that set back, and tell them to give you a complete set. Next time open the box in the store, and count the wires before you leave. Although, I wouldn't buy plug wires from auto zone. I'd get a set of NGK wires. AZ brand, and Bosch are garbage.

Doesn't that year/engine have an internal coil and hence only the four spark plug wires?

^ Stillrunning is correct. The 94 4 cylinder 5SFE engine has a coil that is internal to the distributor, so there is no external coil wire. Hence, only the 4 wires that run from the distributor cap to the spark plugs. The California equiped cars may be different.
