95 Camry (2.2L) Engine Problem

I noticed something really strange over the last weekend with the car. I moved it from one side of the driveway to the other and turned the car off and took the key out of the ignition but the engine was still running. There was no CEL and all of the electronics turned off when the key was removed. I drove the car around the block, bought it back to the driveway and turned the car off and this time the engine turned off. I havent had the problem since, i am thinking this is a problem with the starter relay but i could be wrong. Any ideas?

Most likely the ignition switch is going/gone bad. Having it 'stay on' is one mode of failure - failing to come on is another. Another possibility is relay(s) sticking on - but several would need to do this at the same time - this is much less likely.

Unless the starter motor was running all the time, the starter relay is the least likely suspect.
