1995 Camry sputtering/chugging.

Having an issue with my Camry, I was driving it home last night, ran fine for about 5-10 minutes while cold but as soon as it got warm it starting sputtering/chugging. It's never done this before, it almost feels like a missfire. It does it a little while idling in park/neutral, a LOT while idling in drive/reverse/2/Low, when accelerating from 0-45ish it's rough, it acts like it won't go then it will jump forward, then it will do it again. Once I reach speeds of about 50-75 it smoothes out some, but if I hold the pedal so that the car stays at just above 60mph it has this steady stutter. It doesn't feel like a tire thing, possibly could be something axle/CV related I suppose, but I'm more inclined to think it's got something to do with engine. Anyone got any ideas? I drove it to work this morning, it was fine while cold, but as soon as it got warm, it had the same problem. Thanks!

Yeah well after spending a couple hundred bucks and countless hours looking for problems - mine was the coolant temperature sensor going bad. Its a cheap fix and easy to do, but for me, not so easy to diagnose. Try pulling the cts plug off the sensor when the car is warm and drive it and see if that fixes the problem. If the problem goes away, that will confirm its the cts. If you do pull the plug the check engine light will come on, but thats just because the plug is off. What is happening is the sensor is telling the engine control the car is cold, when it is not, and it is putting too much gas into the cylinders and flooding the engine.

Just curious, did the cts check out? Was that the problem?

Ended up taking it to a mechanic, it was the distributor, then I drove it to work today, one of the spark plug wires was screwed so I JUST put new wires in, and I think my started is shot now.
