silencer removal

hey guys i have an aftermarket n1 style muffler on my car right now (i know its ricerish) but ive always had the silencer in and i love the sound but want it to be louder. ive tried everything to get the silencer out, WD40, letting it warm up then trying it, wont even budge. any ideas from anyone?

its been in there since may ish? not for sure. and its just a cheap ebay muffler with the single bolt for the silencer, i took it out originally before it was put on, but put it back in before i put it on also.

We had something like that on our RSX, I carefully wiggled it back and forth side to side with pliers while pulling. It finally came loose and I fell on my ass.

I've heard from many that PB blaster is much better than WD40. May be give that a try, sock it in for couple of hours and then do one more blast before mucking with it.

yup, sounds like PB blaster and alot of yanking with a pair of pliers. Use vicegrips to make it easier.
