3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
So here is my issue. The car has 230,000 miles on her, and I just changed the oil.
Lately I have replaced all wires, spark plugs and distributor and coil.
I have the water pump and timing stuff ready to change i have just been holding off because i thought I might have been the issue.
What happens is when i've been driving the car for around the town doing errands it is hot and doesn't want to crank over.
However when It does run it has no low end power but does get going in the higher rpms, but still doesn't feel like it has full power.
I was thinking Coolant Temp Sensor, or my dad was thinking it might be the fuel pump.
Any ideas guys?

Reason: update
I don't know if its the same problem but recently at random times. I warm up the car and do errands as usual. Then out of nowhere I accelerate and feels like im forcing it and once I go to that certain high RPM its normal. Then I slow down and the car feels like its dying. Then I get home and turn off the car. It doesn't turn on. .. Im guessing in my case its the battery. Because then i jump-start the car and turns on. The battery isn't that old though but it isnt the first time that battery has given me problems.
or it can be the same case as yours.

But it runs fine when hot, just doesn't hot start? How long does it have to sit and cool before it will start?
The more i drive it, the worst it drives, ya it doesn't start after i've been driving for awhile, umm it depends... maybe 3-4 hours, but its kind of cool outside. so ya
