Transmission Problem's "96 Camry LE"

Ive been having weird transmission issues lately with my 96 camry v6 LE. Best way to describe the issues are when warming up I have to let the rpms drop to under 1250 so that the transmission doesnt engage hard when shifting into D or R. And once in awhile my transmission will not engage until 2000-3000rpms then when the rpms climb it grabs very violently. I mainly have the transmission slippage when im a little heavier on the gas and then come to a stop. Any ideas on what this could be?? Ive already changed the transmission fluid.

Check the engine mounts and does the engine move a lot when you shift into D/R?

That the direct drum sensor on the top of the case. You should check the sensor, not replacing it at the moment. Because if the symptoms are not the result of loose engine mounts (that pull on shift/throttle cables), then you may have a direct clutch slipping problem.

If the problem is with the clutch packs then it's rebuild time.

If it is the clutch packs, the OP will probably sell the car.
