Ccelica tranny on a Ccamry ? (auto)

Hi

My wife has a camry 1994 2.2l with a140e auto tranny. i have a celica 1993 auto with 241e auto tranny. i was going to convert my car to a standard 5 speed tranny this winter. and my wife has a tranny failure on her camry. i was wondering if i could install my auto tranny on her camry ? if not, does anybody know if parts are interchangeable ?

broken parts on camry tranny : front oil pump and i think torque converter too. the back cover also cracked when i was opening it (got a bit angry at tranny).

These are both a series tranny on a 2.2l 5sfe engine so i guess it would be interchangeable ? would just need to switch computers ?

Any help would be greatly appreaciated. i already have rebuild the engine on the camry but screwed up the tranny during instalation. i did not start the engine so everything else should be fine. i just didnt push the torque converter all the way in and forced it. which broke the front pumps (turned crank with breaker bar and heard a bad sound).

Torque converter : the inner race spins freely with a bit of resistance but the outer race (the one deepest in the converter with the largest races ) doesnt turn, im not sure if this is normal ?

thanks
a man with a broken tranny.
