3VZ-FE Performance Tuning

Hey TN, havnt posted in a great while, im jumping back on the modding bandwagon.
I PnP'd my 3vz when i changed out the head gasket. It was done legit, port matched, polished out on exhaust, intake and i even did the acis mod, it gave me plenty of more power then what i had before, and im sure im losing some through the crappy wornout oem clutch, but i feel like it needs some tuning because theres times like i feel it should be doing more.
I left the AFM at OEM setting for the first week of breaking everything in, then i was logically thinking i have more air now, i need more fuel, so I did two clicks rich, bad, started bogging at low rpms, but at 4k would launch like a crazy man on meth when acis kicked on. so i left it back on oem for a couple of days, it restored to normal no bogging, then went 2 clicks lean, noticed more pull, so i clicked again and it seemed to lose a bit of power so I left it at 2. Mutliple people told me i should be richening it not leaning it and i will notice more power.

now my question is should i richen or lean my AFM?

Yup. Dyno with exhaust gas analysis capability is the only way to know for sure if the A/F ratio is right.

Oh, and the people telling you it should need more fuel probably don't know that a stock 3VZ is set up crazy rich by Toyota.
