Is it possible to remove the cruise control on my '97 Camry LE 5SFE? I never use it (not sure if it even still works

) and it would just be better to just get rid of it.
From the looks of it, all you'd have to do is detach the throttle cable from the cruise control module under the hood and run it directly to the throttle body. I wanted a second opinion on this before I go and start switching around vital stuff like the throttle cable.
Is there any type of sensor or ECU control for the cruise that may start freaking out if it is re-routed? The cruise on my Camry seems to be a pretty basic kind of setup so hopefully check engine lights and what not don't start bugging out thinking something is wrong.
Thanks in Advance for Any Help!
