4th Generation Hit a deer!

I hit a deer doing about 45mph in my 2001 Camry on Sunday night. Killed it on impact and after seeing other pictures of people hitting a deer on another forum, i definitely got lucky because i sent it flying to the opposite side of the road into someones front yard. I only got a broken passenger side head light and broken grille. My hood got pushed up a little bit but i just need to straighten it out. The next day i headed out and picked up a brand new headlight and grille, both brand new after market replacements totaled to $50.68, better than paying a $500 deductible if i went through the insurance

here are some pictures

And today. I still need to figure the hood out but i don't mind it really.

Glad you're okay. (Can't say the same for the deer) but you got out of it very lucky. I seen videos and pictures of full sized trucks front ends destroyed by large deer. Not sure if the hood can be straighten thou.

BTW, take care of those wheels because they are nearly impossible to get now. I know, I got the same set.

Poor deer. Glad to hear that you're okay.

I expected much worse damage. Looks like you got really lucky.

Just hit a deer in our 2000 corolla, we were doing about 55 mph, totaled the car , $6000 damage. It was a full grown deer. The highway patrol said we were lucky no one was killed ( only the deer).

I've seen some of those videos too, got really lucky. I've been told about the wheels, they're in really good shape too even with 220k on them. I almost got Lexus wheels for it but after hearing these are hard to find, I'll stick with them. I do plan to go ES300 black leather seats very soon though

A guy in a new JK Jeep stopped and asked if i was ok when i was getting out of the car. His exact words "damn man are you alright? You sent that thing soaring through the air." right there i expected my front end to be completely wrecked, leaking coolant. My passenger side HID went out when i hit the deer but when i got to a gas station and turned the car back on after filling up it came back to life
