3rd Generation Bad engine mount

hey guys i got a 1992 Camry LE V6 with a bad engine mount.

has anyone ever done the front engine mount? ir so how was it??

i think you can dissconect the four bolts off the block by the oil filter and then disconct the bottom portion from the subframe and replace it but half my car is apart ,i had a bit of a problem lining up the top bolts and i never removed the bottom , i had the whole subframe outta the car and didnt put the dust boot back on when i was putting the subframe back in the car :$ i had the tranny mount and the rear mount disconected from the subframe and was able to lift the motor up enough with frontmount loose to line it back up again befor lowering it back down

There is a DIY in the FAQ on this. (or maybe its for the 4 cyl)

If your talking about the front engine motor mount with bolts in a triangle, the front most bolt has to be removed from underneath the car. The DIY, explains that, but you might miss that point if you read it too quickly.

I did both front mounts in my 93 ES300. not fun. basically, the Header has to come off, the y-pipe has to get disconnected, the Oil filter has to come off, and the mounts can finally come out. The Big one is a bitch to get out even with all of that crap out of the way.
