A lot of people here are going to say don't waste your money and time as it's a miniscule endeavor and performance gain. If you had a V6 1MZ, different story. What other parts do you have besides those? Do you have a 3SGTE gasket/headers? Some people who boost a 5SFE swaps their gasket headers with that of a 3SGTE with some minor modifications. Correct me if I'm wrong here someone.

Anyone who thinks they can get performance gains from changing to a 3SGTE manifold gasket is an idiot. It's a GASKET.
What boost controller are you using? How many lbs of boost?
BOV?
Surely you have to have more mods than you listed...

You could have a faulty map sensor or the ecu isnt being adjusted properly with the afc. list goes on, we need more information

I know it's doesn't give you any gain in power, just heard it could be a better set up when boosting the 5SFE. That's why I asked someone to correct me if I was wrong.

I should have made that more clear, I'm not referring to you specifically - just in general.
It won't really make any difference because the flanges are pretty much the same mating surfaces. The gaskets may have different bends in them, but it's purely a component to seal and prevent exhaust leak. I'm sure that overall the 3SGTE gasket is "better" constructed with more surface area to it, but it's simply just a gasket.

ok sorry.. stock internal wastegate... so i havent even seen past 3 psi before the ecm cut the fuel. 89420-17030 93 mr2 turbo map sensor i bought off ebay.. whats happening is the second the ecm see's the signal from the map sensor when it starts to boost it cuts the fuel.. and sets check engine for P0105 for MAP sensor circuit range... what settings do I have wrong.. AFC settings said stock 5sfe is a PR-3 and the 3sgte is a PR-2 sensor.. so I set it for PR-2 in and PR-3 out... The second it sees any boost it completly cuts out.. I figured that was the whole point of the turbo map sensor.. so the stock computer wouldnt bug out. I really need to get this

Make sure it's hooked up properly. If it is, it could be a bad sensor.
This is one reason I NEVER shop on Ebay...
