I have a 99 camry & right now I have an alpine 7864 single din radio. I am thinking of upgrading to a double din Clarion Cx-501 any way I was wondering if I needed a dash install kit like I did for the single din and if so where to get the double din dash install kit for my 99 camry ?
pics would be great, what secures or hold the radio in place, the screws on the side of the radio or do the come with a mounting cage like single din radios do?
That is pretty neat, hodgoes. Did you order from that eBay seller?
I'm a bit confused with the engrish in that listing. Does it come with the TV antenna? It suggest that it does in the pictures, but in the specs, ect. it suggest it does not. If it did, can you comment on how well it works? What about the GPS function?
Shame it doesn't have a slot to use a SD card for .mp3's... or a place to just stick a flash drive (instead of using the cable). However after some looking around, it just seems like about the best deal, plus - yours looks nice in there. Wonder if a man could buy/make an adapter for that Ipod-In (#15 in their picture) then install something like these
Into the dash somewhere? I see some of their other double din stuff already has a rear USB cable... but I dig this one alot. Want to get rid of wires though, my current setup is a phillips 8GB mp3 player, wire ran to AUX input in the front of a pioneer, then the USB cable ran to a cig lighter USB plug.

I got mine from ebay :P
Yes it comes with the TV antenna and the GPS antenna as well..
the Digital Tv was ok... in town it works great.. but it isn't real good in the country side...
the GPS works great.. the signal is really good.. and it runs windows ce so if u don't like the standard one that comes on it.. you can put something else like tomtom or navman on it...
Also I found that the standard GPS software could play MP3s off the SD card.. so u can do it that way..
Make a folder called "Music" and just remember not to format the card :P
I tend to use mine with my 32GB Ipod... the good thing is it also charges it :P
