Drive without power steering?

I have a 93 Camry 4 cylinder automatic that runs excellent but the power steering seals are leaking badly. I would like to spare the cost of replacing the rack. Can I just remove the powersteering belt and drive the car without the power steering? Aside from harder steering when not moving, is there any other problem with doing this?

I have a 95 Lexus ES300 (Toyota Camry XLE basically) and my pump stopped working. It is just a lot harder to turn when moving slow or not moving at all. When going speeds above 10mph its easy

I'm not sure what it's like on the 4cyl, but it's definitely a no-go on the 6cyl. Remember, once the pump stops spinning, all the hydraulic fluid is going against you. Thus making it much harder for you to dry steer(turn whilst stationary).

My belt snapped and it was pretty much impossible to steer unless the wheels started moving.
