No experience with doing that, but it seems like a bad idea to me. The engine is mounted on rubber mounts to isolate the engine vibrations from being transmitted to the car body. Because of that, it moves a bit when it's generating acceleration/deceleration torque. The flex pipe is in there to allow that to happen. Replacing it with a rigid pipe would likely not last long; the stress generated when the engine tries to move repeatedly would likely crack it quickly.
If the flex pipe is breaking again after a short time, inspect the motor mounts. If they're broken, they can allow the engine to move too much, and break the flex pipe.
