Transmission code ID help!
Alrighty, I have a '99 and a '95 v6 Camry... both with the 1mz. Now the '95 needs a new trans (something about clutches being welded together)... both cars have the code A541E on the doors but a few things are not quite the same visually (mainly the oil cooler lines is what I noticed, minor I know).
Now on to the question! I picked up a spare used trans from this guy who said it was from a '95 v6 Camry but it's slightly different then the one that it needs to replace. I noticed the oil cooler lines are different (same as on my '99 A541E) and there is no electrical plug coming out of the Transaxle Case Upper Cover like on both of my A541E.
Is this enough to go off of? Do I have a A540E? Any definitive way of telling just by looking at the trans itself? And they are not interchangeable right? Thanks for any help!
