Removing rear deck speaker grill

I have the rear deck removed from my gen3.5 and I was wondering if there's any way I can remove the speaker grills on them without damaging them? Tried to search but to no avail.

If its anything like the gen 4 then no, there part of it. They would have to be cut out. If your trying to put on cooler looking grills itll be a welcome sign for thieves. Keep stuff looking as stock as possible or it will get stolen.

To be honest I'm not one for tacky mods like that. I don't post here very often but when I do it is usually a question about a mod I'm doing or just sharing one of my clean stock looking mods.

I appreciate your help, you were right, the only way was to cut the tabs off on the back. I did that, repainted my faded grey speaker grills with interior paint and then wrapped the rear deck in black suede to match my new headliner.

I'll make a new thread to show my new interior as it starts coming together better.
