Small hose bulging to the right of engine seeping coolant
Hi guys, its me again with another problem. I have a small hose going into right of engine facing it, its bulging and coolant seeping from it. What is that hose called? No water in oil. When I parked this morning the car was steaming. I have had problems with the coolant disappearing from the reservoir, but that stopped...now this.. Is it expensive to replace...I need to call auto part store but don't know what to ask for. Can a girl fix this herself?
Perhaps it would be better for you to drive the car to the parts store and point it out to the counterperson.
+1 to that idea. No matter where it is, or what it is called, if it's leaking it has to be replaced, pronto.
Take it to Autozone and point it out as TedL said, they will get you a replacement, probably around $20.00 and with a pair of pliers and 5 minutes you will be good as new.
I fixed it after all that steam seeped from the hood.
Advance Auto didn't have the radiator hose I needed, but there was enough of a slack in the hose for me to cut off the torn part and C-clamp it. . I ordered the hose. I was driving home though and the car never heated and the windows got frosted inside. Had to put the defrost on but no heat . i hope its just a thermostat

.
And buy a gallon of ant-freeze while you are there.

You might not have enough coolant in the system with major air bubbles.
If the thermostat was stuck open...you'd still have some heat.

Find NAPA's Valvoline Zerex Asian car formula. It's very similar to Toyota Red. But don't mix coolant if you already put the All-Makes coolant in there. Many All Makes are really Death-cool (uhhhh I mean Dexcool) clones that can gel up. (That said, many owners used it without problems.)
