no idle speed

92 Camry V-6 3000. To start the car when cold you must give it some gas and hold the throttle at 1000 rpm for a minute or so. I have replaced the MAF, the throttle sensor, the PCV and removed, cleaned the IAC and the car still will not find a idle speed. the car will not hold at idle. I adjusted the idle stop so that the car will run at idle, but it still will not start cold and hold the an idle. The rpms will climb when you turn the wheels, and the car will run up and down the highway without issue. It is just a idle problem. any advice

You might check the EGR system. If it's stuck open it can cause it to stall.

When you cleaned the IAC, did you take it apart and scrape the carbon out of it?... or just spray some throttle body cleaner into the intake? Here's a thread showing how to remove it and clean it. But take it a step further, and at step #10, pull the center pintle out and clean the inside as well.

chasing my own tail

I seem to be chasing my own question sorry about that. I followed the thread took the valve completely apart. it was clean of all carbon restating that again. The lower half was re-cleaned again no carbon. The valve was replaced without change. I raised the idle stop, this allows the car to idle, but doesn't really fix the true problem.I have given thought to the cold start valve. I will check out the egr.

Question checking out the egr

You can also test this modulator to see if it funtions:

Engine Stopped:
(a) Disconnect vacuum hoses from ports P, Q, and R of the EGR vacuum modulator
(b) Block ports P and R with your finger
(c) Blow air into port Q, and check that the air passes through to the air filter side freely

Engine at 2,500 RPM:
(d) Start engine, maintain speed at 2,500 rpm
(e) Repeat the above test. Check that there is a strong resistance to air flow
(f) Reconnect the vacuum hoses to the proper locations

I can follow a, and b, and c but what and where does this air exit, what air filter side are they talking about.is it the line coming out of the base of the moderator?

resistance in Q line

with engine stopped, I took the P and R lines off the modulator and tried blowing through the Q line and port. Nothing freely past through anywhere. There was resistance. One more part to add to the list
