Engine fluttering

I just got back from military duty yesterday and drove my car for the first time in two weeks. I was driving with my wife and noticed that my engine sounded different somehow. I listened closely from a red light. I hear a flutter in first gear about 1800RPM to 2200RPM and about half of second gear up to 2200RPM. I don't think it could be a header blown, the car does not drive rough, but I am not sure. I have blown an engine before (Cougar auto 4cyl) and it did not sound anything like this. What could it be?

I have uploaded a sound file. You can hear it best at 2:32-2:50 and 3:19-3:27.

I use VLC player to play AMR files, I dont know if Windows Media Player can play them.

It sounds like the timing belt slapping the timing cover. Just letting you know it's time.
Thanks for your service!

Sorry I didnt get back to you sooner. Thank you. I pretty much had a few days and then back to duty. I will have to replace the belt when I get back from deployment. I havent even checked to see if that was it.
