3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I've put together a file with all the Technical Service Bulletins that I could find for the Gen 3/4 series of Camry. Most are specific to Gen 3/4 but some apply to all models.
They are on Google Docs, and there are two files.
One is the Description file that has a listing of all of the TSB's. It would be a good idea to either save this, or print it out. The other one is a PDF containing all of the TSB's. The PDF is a large file (24 megs) and can be viewed on line or you can download it to your local PC if you want.
Once you click on the Technical-Service-Bulletins.pdf at the top of the page there is a menu. Choose File/Download, or in the upper right hand corner there is a Download Button. Either will work.
Thanks. I don't know if it's just me, but while I could save the large file, I can't save the list. I can't even copy/paste it. Could you save it as a .PDF?

Nope, it not just you. I can't download it either. There is a Download Option on the File Menu, but nothing happens when you select it.
I tried to convert the file to a PDF using Adobe Reader, but it said I had to install Adobe AIR and convert it on Adobe.com. So I said go ahead, and the installation failed, and got in a feedback loop, not letting me quit the update application, and every time it failed it said that I had to update Adobe Air. What a PITA.
I'll see if I can figure out WTF is going on and fix the problem. At least you can print it from Google Docs. In the meantime I'll upload an unformatted text file and see if Google Docs will let you download that. Once can only hope.

Which one, the HTM file or the Unformatted text file?
Neither of them work for me unless I sign in to Google Docs.
Actually, the middle one on the list, which was there originally. I click file|print and then it downloads as a PDF, and I can save a copy. I was planning to try printing to an .XPS document I could just store, but didn't have to even bother.
I just went back, and that one has been removed. Go figure!

It's just me changing everything around. Now there should be a PDF file there to download. One thing I found out is that if you upload a file to Google Docs and don't convert it, then you don't get a preview, but I have the option of "allowing the user to download this document." But if I let Google convert it so there is a preview, then there is not option. Swell.
Since Adobe Reader is brain dead and will not install Adobe Air I went off an got a copy of PDFill and installed it and created a PDF file and uploaded it to Google Docs. Now all I have to do is to close all the windows, log on to TN without signing in, to see if Google Docs will allow me to download and save the new PDF file for the descriptions.
I thought this stuff was so easy a Caveman could do it.
Edit: Got it fixed. Once the Description file was converted to a PDF file, then Google Docs allowed you to download it, from the File Menu. All the other files have been deleted and now there should be only two PDF files.
weird, I was able to download it as a .doc document ...
if I can help I can convert it to a PDF if needed and upload.
EDIT:
never mind

My best guess as to what happened probably had to do with the type of browser you were using, which version? You might have to clear your browser's cache. What type of computer are you using, which brand, which model? What type of operation system are you using? Which version, which service pack update. What other programs do you have running? Try to re-boot and see if that fixes it. When was the last time you ran a virus scan? What virus scanner are you running, which version? When was the last time you ran a full virus scan?
There, I think I pretty much covers it. Fix all those things and everything should be fine. /sarc
Thanks for the offer to convert the files. Luckily PDFill got the job done quickly and easily.

Well, I'm using latest firefox browser, now version 10.
My desktop is a 3yr old custom built system. Specs are quad core intel Q9450 @ 3.6ghz, 8gb performance ram, several raid array hard drives, nvidia gtx 570 video card. Running under win 7 pro x64. Doubt it all makes a difference though, maybe except the browser?
I was logged on to GDocs and was using "File -> Download Original" option to get what I needed.
... or rather it was the initial link you pm'd me
Anyways glad it's all fixed now.
