I know this has been brought up before, but like most gen 3 Australian camry/vienta owners I've been trying to change my front bumper indicators, and in that time have developed a fair bit of general distaste for the front end styling of the car in general.
Don't get me wrong, I love my car and have been enjoying doing bits and pieces to it, but the front bumper indicator has to go.
I had a go at crafting my own front indicators as detailed in the now defunct Australian camry forums and whilst they turned out acceptably and functional they were obviously DIY'd, I'm not terribly handy when it comes to moulding plastic/perspex either so that might not have helped, but needless to say I'm over that as an option.
I am however willing to invest time time/energy/money required to get my hands on a front bumper that I can substitute mine with.
I'm assuming that at the core level the Australian gen 3/3.5 camry is the same as the American gen 3, and have been considering options in regards to changing the front bumper with an alternate one and swapping the indicators out and possibly rewiring if I have to the electricals behind it to fit.
Has anyone had any experience at all in this area and can lend some advice, whether it's to get the es300 front bumper, the holden apollo (Australian owners will know that) bumper, an American camry bumper shipped over, or buy one of those interesting looking kits off ebay, painting them, and getting an indicator to fit.
I know this sounds excessive, but humor me if you can, and if anyone knows anything, or can point me in the right direction please do.
