3rd Generation 93 camry LE key ignition gets jammed

when i turn my car off and push the key in to turn to pull the key i would have to turn it hard or it would not go all the way to off it will just go to acc and wont go back. i would have to turn the car back on and do it fast. does this mean i need a new ignition? im gonna see what wd40 does for now. thanks.

I was once told to never use any liquid lubricants on locks or ignition switches because they attract dirt and then get sticky. Always use dry graphite. Any hardware store will have it.

2015 RAV4 Limited, AWD, tech pkg, Barcelona red metallic, 19k miles
1996 Avalon XLS, ABS brakes, super white II, acquired w/ 139k, now at 342k
1992 Camry LE, V6 (3VZ-FE), ABS brakes, dark emerald pearl, owned since new. Replaced HGs @332k, totaled at 384k miles

Try a spare key, it might just be a worn key.
