Differences between 1997 and 1999 heater core

Hi guys,
Like the title says, is there a difference between a heater core made for a 1997 and a 1999 Camry? I looked on the Spectra site and it seems the only difference is that one has detachable piping and other doesn't. Even the bends seem to be the same. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Kandasan

All three brands listed (Spectra Premium, Vista-Pro and PRO) all have different part numbers. You should probably stay with the particular year unless someone's done an actual interchange.

Hey thanks JohnGD. I guess Ill be the first to try this out, since I already put in the order thinking there wasn't going to be a difference. But I did do a bit of photoshopping, I layered a picture I took of my heater core over the spectra supplied picture, and it seems the pipes that go through the firewall match up, just the top pipe has a different bend. So I guess the top mount isn't going to be used. Ill report back after I get this done.

Thanks for your help

Saw a post on BITOG aboout a guy who couldn't get the right heater core for his Honda. Parts guys kept giving him the "wrong part". Turns out the part he expected to be duplicated was the AC Evaporator, not the heater core. The parts guys gave him what he asked for, not what he took out. He said there was a "hiss" when he undid the connections.
