What Performance Parts can I get for 1992 Camry 3vZ-FE CAL?

Hi I have a 1992 Camry XLE V6 3.0L and the engine is 3vZ-FE Cal and I want to know what kind of performance parts I can get for the car that pass smog.

I found a supercharge but I dont no if it will really work I have not bought it its called TURBONATOR does any one know if this product will really help my performance if I get it its only cost $70 and it say up to 35 HP. Also what other performance parts I can get for the car that will work with 3VZ-FE Cal. Is ther any Cold Air Intake that is good for the Camry? Also is there a way to have a custom turbo cause I heard you can but I hope its not to much.

Well first of all, please use the search button before posting. There are tons of threads with all the info you need

The so called "supercharger" you are talking about is B.S. All it will do is cause youe fuel to mix correctly.

Lesson one: There is no such thing as cheap hp.

They actually don't make a supercharger for the 3vz. However there is a tubro kit coming out from shiftgateperformance.com. That runs right around $2200.

But yeah, use the little blinking button at the top of the screen. It will help you find everything you need

uh.... then maybe you shouldnt be looking for performance at all... 2G's is CHEEEEAAP for a turbo kit. it really amazes me how cheap camry owners are (myself included ). even hondas and other mainstreamed cars' turbo kits run more than 3500!!!

there are some less expensive mods, like headwork, that you can do. if you want a really good cheap mod, make your own CAI. if you arent willing to throw down some money, then its a waste of your time to even be looking for mods that will add 20+hp.

jon

EDIT: forgot- the only 3vz CAI i know of is made by akimoto (cost is ~$250) and is extremely hard to come by- if not impossible. i suggest you build a custom one using ghetto parts!!!

Hum... or eles should I wait till my engine dies and just get an engine swap for the newer camry engine like the 1MZFE, V6 and then buy a TRD Supercharger? Cause my engine milage is kind of hi. like 100,000

Will it pass smog if I wap out my old 3VZ-F3 Cal to the new 1MZ-Fe?

High? That's nothing!!! My 3vz is at 198,000miles!

And 1mz's don't put down the torque the 3vz does

3VZs are really good engines, plenty strong.
Its the tran on this car that seems to be it's achilles heel.

If you are going to wait, start saving.

A swap will cost you. Its going to be an engine/trannie/electrical swap. Plenty details. Might be cheaper and easier to put your car on the market and go find what you want.

That is true the 3VZ are pretty strong but I sort of want to find some cheap performance parts for the 3VZ but not to may people make it. Or I might just save up money for the new toyota supra hope it comes out.

There's no such thing as cheap parts for cars. Even honda drivers have to cough up cash for performance.

However, I have been thinking about designing a CAI for the 3vz. If I can find enough demand for it to be made, I may try and get it into production.
