Gen 4 camry's with strut tower bar.

Quick question. Do you know if a solara strut bar (stock) would fit the gen 4 camry's. I have a solara bar and i wanted to sell it to someone local. Essentially, i know the bar will leave an indent on the top head shield foam..but the hood will not be affected from what i've found out. Can anyone here acknowledge this?
(and i'm not refering the trd one..the solara STOCK one).

yup, I have put a stock Solara tower strut bar in my 2001 Camry before. It needs a little bending that's all..

a little bending? What bending did you have to do? If you mean those little hooks on the C looking pieces of metal on the shock towers I cut those off. (as far as leaving an imprint, I havent checked)

it fits perfect in my '99 and it makes little imprints in the fire safety foam in the hood. i didn't cut anything on the little metal C thingy's on mine, i just put them back on top of the strut bar itself.
only thing is once you get it installed, don't SLAM the hood down or it might go right through it...just put it down gently which you should already do so now

here's a photo of it in my engine bay:

I have heard that it fits perfectly in 97-99 Camry. But I tried to fit it into my 2001 Camry, without bending it a little bit in the middle, I couldn't close the hood properly. The design of the hood between 2000+ and 97-99 Camry is a bit different, maybe that's why.
