3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Fist of all, I'm new here in Toyota Nation! I've got a Gen3 Camry and just got into this mod business few months back. I live in Toronto, and am planning on coming to the show on Saturday June 8th. I've done some common mods. The pics and the mods are on the webpage:
I'm getting it painted Electric Blue next week and getting some custom made stickers.
I cut the springs cuz I couldn't decide which one to get. I tried hard to get Sprint springs but nobody carries it here in Toronto, so for the time being went ahead with cutting them. Maybe you guys can suggest.
I want to get some nice speakers/amps/sub/tweeters for the car. I have absolutely NO CLUE what brands to go for etc. I got a quote of $1000 for Lanzar Vibe 800W Amp, Blaupunkt speakers (4, dont know how many watts, but supposed to be good), and a box of Kicker subs. This included all the wiring and installation. What do you think?
Also, I want to paint the interior myself, any information will be much appreciated!
Thanks!!
Your comments/suggestions about anything else are most welcomed.
Welcome to TN! Good to see another Toronto owner. Only advice is lose the wing.
I can't say much for the "twin" part. I cannot see any resemblemce whatsoever.
As for the blau paint, it's been more than a year now. Hard to believe. Dickson is dogging my cut Intrax, but that's what headers and tranny swap will do to the ride height.

Personally, I don't like the wing, either. It seems out of place since the rest of the car is so clean and sleek. But if you like it, keep it. That's all that really matters with YOUR car. Props on your ride- it looks great.

Yea, I wanted a wing myself on the car just for show, just wait until i get the car painted, i think it'll look pretty good. And I wanna make this car Fast, for sure!! Short on money though after spending so much on cosmetics.
Down the road, I wanna thro in a Supra turbo engine, well atleast thinking about it. Engine would cost alot, why not buy the whole car? Thats the debate! So thats why I thought its useless to do any expensive engine mods like SuperChargers, at this point in time
