I have a 01 Camry. I am going to remove the stock grille including the emblem with gutter wire ($7 @ Home depot). How do I remove the front grill? I know there are two bolts on either side of the grill, but I want to remove the mid-section part and keep the plastic=chrome finish.

Thanks.

4th Generation cant do that

im doing what you are describing. you have to cut out the middle section then fiberglass the four cut out side holes. then bondo in the gaps on the side. sand it down and then paint it. and your set to go sparky! i'll have a pick up soon

The Gen 4.5 ones unbolt off unlike the Gen 4s. All you have to do is basically find the bolts and screws and then undo them (that is to remove the entire grill) Now since you have a gen 4.5 you can actually purchase one off ebay for like $35 just so you have a replacement in case it fails. So basically cut the 2 grill bar, sand it down, bondo it with fiberglass if you want or you could also use plastic card (much like a model car) and then filler it smooth and the just prime and paint it.
