Question need advice: what should my next mod be? 2000 camry

hey guys

i have a 2000 camry LE 4cyl auto w/ about 92,000 miles on it ( i drive alot for school and work). anyways below is a list of my mods. I want to add some new mods to my camry but am having a hard time coming up w/ ideas. I want to stay around $100-$300 (if an idea is good, i can go up to $1000 but have to save some $$$). so my s/c or turbos at this time

mods so far:

1. exterior:
-TRD body kit (6-piece without spoiler lip)
-17" wheels and tires-Sport edition Fox 2 wheels w/ continental tires
- euro halo headlights (for Gen4.5 camry)
- clear corner lights
-9005 bulb conversion into 9006 (low beam) headlights w/ sylvania silverstar bulbs -probably my favorite recent mod...cheap and looks great!

-green neon underbody kit (hardly ever use now...just to show off to friends.)
- rear spoiler
- altezza rear lights
-remove all emblems in back except toyota symbol
- tinted windows -to legal standards for Texas

2. suspension/handling
- tokico struts
-eibach springs - lowered about 1.25"
- rear sway bar
- front engine strut brace/bar

3. engine/performance mods
-rippmods headers
- injen short-ram intake (want to get extension to make it into CAI)
- Greddy Evolution full catback system

4. stereo
- only changed stereo to JVC cd/mp3/wma receiver. otherwise stock. had XM radio satellite, but hated paying $10 month!

5. interior
- blue neon lights under front dash-driver and passenger side
- wheelskin genuine leather steering wheel cover - very nice
- wood grain dash kit off ebay
- euro reverse indiglo lights
- aluminum Tenzo auto shift knob
- aluminum e-brake handle cover
- sports pedals (want to change to new momo sport pedals soon)
- new leather-like front seat covers
-momo door sill covers
-blue dome light

some of my ideas :
1. CAI extension- but was quoted for about $100 shipped by UPFD...and heard from some people that it was not worth it...so not sure at this time.
2. want to do something to my steerin wheel toyota symbol. it's so plain and "ugly"...wish it was chrome like the new Gen 5 steering wheels

any suggestions? i'll take them all...
later

$100 -$300 won't get you a lot.

i would say a rear sway bar is good investment. =) may be like $100-$150 USD.

depends if you want your car to look nice or you just want your car to have more power.

if you want your car to look different from other camrys than i would go for the TRD body kit, springs and struts and some 17s and enjoy the fuel economy that your 4 cyl gives you =D

but if you are demanding for power than i would just save up for a turbo or rippmod s/c and worry about appearence later on.

I'd go with a thumpin' system.

Maybe a 12" woofer in a slot ported enclosure powered by a 300watt monoblock amp. And upgrade your rear cabin speakers.

hey neon

just wondering if you read my post. you said "rear sway bar is good investment"

my post: "2. suspension/handling
- tokico struts
-eibach springs - lowered about 1.25"
- rear sway bar

you said "if you want your car to look different from other camrys than i would go for the TRD body kit, springs and struts and some 17s and enjoy the fuel economy that your 4 cyl gives you =D"

my post :
1. exterior:
-TRD body kit (6-piece without spoiler lip)
-17" wheels and tires-Sport edition Fox 2 wheels w/ continental tires"

it's all good thanks for the advice though...i guess i agree with you, since i've already done those mods

I'd say save for that S/c that i hear you drooling about. And then get forged internals and intercooler so you can up the boost.

Rippmods.com

I think there are other headers availible. Check camry faq. If not in there check ultimate camry faq.

bobble head. awesome idea!

i wish i had some updated picks, but i'm not at home right now. visiting friends. i like the way my car looks, except maybe the altezza lights sometimes. i know alot of people on this forum hates those lights, but not many camrys have then. and my color is metallic beige so i think it looks ok with them.

also my gf likes those taillights...so i guess that's what counts . plus, she has an infiniti g20 so she can't have that bad taste in cars

so my next mod is the CAI extension for my injen intake, from UPFD. i have another post talking about it...how i SHOULD get it by next week thur or friday.

but the best is that i've gotten some comments at gas stations, from high school kids to college kids, saying "hey, nice camry" to "i like what you did to your camry."

the best, i was at a gas station, and a nice elderly guy (mid 50s) parked next to me to gas up. he was driving a chevy suburban. he got out, looked over my car front and back, and asked with such curiosity "What kind of car is that?" i replied " Oh, just a Toyota Camry."

He said "THAT's a Camry!!" "i didn't think they looked that good."
smiling on the inside, i replied modestly "well, i did some 'stuff' to it to make it more my car."
He replied "well, i like it...I should get a car JUST LIKE YOURS, bec my SUV guzzles way too much gas."

that was awesome...
