I plan on leaving for the new years holiday tomorrow, this morning the A/C hose on my 5th Gen Celica busted so I was setting the Camry for the journey, running a few errands the CEL on the Camry came on and the car almost died, rev dropped and no acceleration, after getting off the highway on an off ramp traffic light the car died but turned on with out a prob.
I just got home and checked with the Chiltons Celica manual and Code 14 correspondis to:
Sytem: Ignition Signal,
Diagnosis: IG signal from igniter is not input to ECU for 4-5 secs consecutive ignition
Trouble Area(s):
1.- Open or short in IGF or IGT circuit igniter to ECU
2.- Igniter
3.- ECU
In plain english, what does this mean? do I run the risk of the car leaving me stranded in the middle of nowhere on new years eve?

is there a quick and reliable fix to this?
Any inmediate help apprecitated
