Can someone tell me where the block heater is located on a 01 XLE V6 1mzfe engine? I need to see if the car has one installed and if so, trace the power cord. Thanks.

They never came with block heaters. But there is a frost plug below the front exhaust manifold, so it is possible to adapt an aftermarket block heater to the 1MZ-FE.
Hey, thank you for the response, I couldn't find anything about it in my Haynes books, the V6 is new to me, always had 4's.
-30 to -40C isn't uncommon here, and it's been starting okay, but on occasion the temp can be in the -40 to -50C range. Haven't been burned by the temp yet.

it might be a bit much, but u can get a remote start thing for your car. i had one on my old camry, and u can set it to start up after a certain amount of time and then turn off, i think there might have been an option for turning on with a certain temp too
