hi Guys,

The upgrade work is going on
on my car from past six months.

It was total stock.
I will post the pics soon.

Question ????

I got new struts & springs few days ago but when I went for installation the owner quoted me $600 for both of them.I thought he was on dope & came back.

Guys what's the best price for the installation work.
I know its not easy but that price range is insane.

Any Ideas ?

Wow.. that sounds pretty high, but I'm not sure since I haven't priced spring/strut installs yet.. $600 USD?

Oh, yes, I want pics too.. 5S-FE engine?

If that is a Toyota dealership...I would say that is not too crazy of a price. However, most tuner shops will ask between $200 and $400 (from my experience) for that install...typically minus the allignment...in which you will most likely have to go to an independant suspension shop to have done.

How much you paid for istallation of only springs ?

Toyota dealership refused to install aftermarket struts & springs.

It's better to install both struts and springs at the same time, so one-time labor would be charged, instead of two. Unless the dealer is allowed to carry TRD products, they will not do any non-OEM work.

The springs +struts replacement cost about $150 Cdn dollars, that's the cheapest quote I got. I had it done for $300 Cdn dollars (by a certified Toyota mechanic)

autozone lets you rent a mcpherson spring compressor. you buy it then get all your money back. its called their tool loan program or something.. it will cost you 40 bucks, then you get it all back.

heres the tool you need to use: this is what i used-
an external mcpherson spring compressor

hope this helps! good luck!
