ECU location remote transmitter help rs3000 98 Camry le - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

After searching the forum for help locating the ECU for the '98 camry le, I checked under the seats and under the driver's dash/steering column area. I don't see it. I know it has one, as the car used to have a working rs3000 remote. What I need is a pic of the ECU and it's location, if any of you happen to be working under your dash at the moment. I know that's a lot to ask. Please help if you can. I have instructions on how to program the remotes once I find the ECU.

The TSB AX005-99 "Toyota VIP RS3000 Programming" Shows it as located to the far left side of the dash, about mid level, below the left side vent.

BUT !!!! It also shows the location on my Corolla as under the seat AND I HAVE NOT FOUND IT YET !!!

Also, there should be another box which contains the potentiometer adjustment for the glass breakage sensitivity. (on my 00 Corolla it is under the center console)
