Scion Head Unit on ’98 Camry

Hello all,
I also posted this in the Audio section but wasn't sure if all you guys would read it there:
I’ve been reading on these forums for some time, and it seems you guys know your stuff. Well, there are many “slightly used” stock pioneer head units (taken off the new Scion cars) on eBay and I’m considering replacing my broken stock head unit with one of them. I drive a 1998 Toyota Camry LE and was wondering if you guys could help me out here. I did a search and it seems that all Toyotas from 1988 use the same setup and there were some ECHO’s with the pioneer head unit; will someone verify that a scion head unit will fit and work in my car. I understand that there are better aftermarket mp3 head units out there but I’m on a budget and hopefully will get one for about $50 on eBay.

Is the installation complicated? Or could a car audio novice (me) with some instructions pull it off? Where could I get some instructions?

Is there anything else I should consider?

Thanks

consider shipping costs, if it breaks later in the long run, buying new with a warranty should be better for that. save a bit more, do it right, try the search function.
